FRIEND AND FARMER Verdejo
Friend and Farmer is the dream of three brothers, Francisco, Javier and Luis Parra. The hope was to
celebrate their beloved home of La Mancha by raising organically and biodynamically grown grapes.
When it comes to the winemaking behind Friend and Farmer, they partnered with the exceptional and
renown Juan Antonio Ponce of Bodegas Ponce. The Parra brothers work two vineyards near the town of Las Mesas. One is Entresendas (“between paths”) sitting in a dry river bed. These rich, alluvial soils are perfect for the cultivation of grapes reflecting light and heat and ensuring drainage. The other vineyard is Olla del Monte is perhaps easily
represented by its other name: Cuesta Colorá, the colored slope. This slope is covered in chalky clay and
a fine layer of pebbles on the surface that capture and radiate the heat of the sun—a key benefit during
the desert nights. This style of Verdejo is different than most due to these unique factors.
The Friend & Farmer wines are Demeter and vegan certified with no to very low (under 20ppm) sulfites
added. All vines are worked by hand, and fermentation is with indigenous yeast. 100% Organic Verdejo

Echeverria ‘No Es Pituko’ Chardonnay 2019
Echeverria, a renowned winery located in the Curico Valley in Chile, has made a big splash with their
entry into the “natural” wine world. The new “natural” wines have the label “No Es Pituko!”, slang does
‘‘it ain’t fancy!’’ All wines come from ungrafted, selected clones of pre-phylloxera French rootstock in
their 80 ha vineyard, which the family established in the outskirts of Molina in 1923. All the fruit is hand
picked in cool, early morning hours. Fermentation with yeast selected from the vineyard, and the
natural wine is fully spontaneous.

REZEBAL Txakolina Rosé
Rezabal is a family owned winery located in the Basque country of Spain in Zarautz — part of the
Getariako Txakolina appellation. The winery features the latest technology but utilizes traditional
methods. The traditional approach of centuries preserves the characteristics of the Txakoli, and the
technology assures consistent quality. With 22 hectares of vineyards planted in a traditional high trellis
system, the family focuses on the two native varieties that define Rezabal Txakoli: Hondarribi-Zuri and
Hondarribi-beltza. Hondarribi Beltza is a red variety used for the Txakoli rose, best describe as light, velvety and delicate. The grapes benefit from the constant sea breeze blowing through the vineyard daily, bringing great
freshness, salinity and acidity to the finished wines. Naturally fizzy, it is traditionally served poured from
a height into the glass.

THOMAS JULIEN ‘Sur le Fil’ Ventoux Rouge
Thomas Julien was raised at the bottom of Mont Ventoux in Southern Rhône and now lives in the village
of Suzette, at the border of Beaume de Venise and the Ventoux AOP. He is now the third generation to
make wine in the hills of Ventoux. Julien focuses toward no intervention wines that are clean and
express his regional footprint. He farms 5ha by hand and let’s the fruit quality lead the way in the
winemaking. Spontaneous ferments, low to no sulfur.
‘’Sur Le Fil“ is a blend of 4 parcels located between 300 and 500m elevations. These parcels are the
highest in elevation, with the highest amount of gravel. The winemaking is extremely unique, resulting
in the perfect bright, aromatic, chillable red.

concrete tank maceration, 20%

CLOVIS/CHATEAU SIMIAN Cotes du Rhone
Located in Chateuneuf, Chateau Simian produces the Clovis line of wines to showcase their various
holdings, focusing on top tier fruit at value pricing. Their wines are influenced by the Mediterranean
climate, long windows of daylight through the growing season, and cool nights. The vineyards are
tended organically, picking is done during cool morning hours, and they practice minimal intervention
winemaking. Great care is taken to respect the diverse composition and life of the soils that are
expressed in Clovis wines.

•Estate fruit, certified Organic and Demeter
•under 40ppm sulfites, hence falling in the natural camp
•medium bodied, red fruit and spice
