Carmen Left Wave Sauvignon Blanc

The grapes were handpicked and carefully transferred into the winery for quick processing. Once in the winery the grapes went through a delicate bunch selection process prior to destemming and crushing. Gentle free run juice from the press was transferred into stainless steel tanks for a 12 hour decanting process. The clean juice was racked and prepared for fermentation with neutral yeast. Fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks at temperatures of 12-15 °C, helping to ensure good aroma retention and crisp mineral characteristics by extending the fermentation length. Our Wave Series wines are unmasked, pure reflections of what the vineyards produce. The wines are bottled young without any oak contact to show the character, vibrancy and freshness Sauvignon Blanc can achieve in the South Pacific coast of Chile. Our Wave Series Sauvignon Blanc is vibrant and fresh with hints of lime, grapefruit and Gooseberry on the nose. This light-bodied Sauvignon Blanc is full of fresh fruit and lively acidity that pairs perfectly with a variety of seafood dishes, salads or creamy cheeses. Our enticing wines highlight the pure, natural character of Chile´s South Pacific Coast

Doña Paula Rosé of Malbec

In the clay loam soils of Finca El Alto in Ugarteche, Luján de Cuyo, we chose the poorest profiles resulting from the mixture of rubbles and clay to plant our Doña Paula Rosé of Malbec in the year 1998. The yield per hectare is of 7 to 10 tones with drip irrigation. The weather of this estate located at 1,000 meters above the sea level (3,280 feet), is characterized by warm days and cool nights, with thermal amplitude of 14ºC (57.2ºF) and an annual average rainfall of 250 mm (9.84 inches). The conduction system used is the trellis. In Doña Paula we have always managed our own vineyards with sustainable agricultural. This wine has a pale pink color. In the nose it has deep berries and violets aromas coming from the early harvest. In the mouth it is a very fresh wine due to its high acidity. It presents a long, balanced and soft finish.

Portillo Pinot Noir

Situated on a high plateau in the Uco Valley of Argentina’s Mendoza region, the Portillo (meaning “path” or “gateway”) winery and vineyards are dedicated to making superb quality wines for everyday enjoyment. Harmony with nature is readily apparent in every aspect of this property, which is designed to deliver wines that capture and respect the pristine beauty of their birthplace. Portillo’s state-of-the-art winery is largely built of local materials, including stones quarried from a nearby valley. This enables the facility to better blend in with the surrounding environment. Built on three levels, each 16 feet deep, with much of the facility concealed below ground, Portillo is also notable for its employment of a gravity-flow system. This minimizes handling of grapes and helps protect the integrity of the fruit. The facility’s ingenious design, which takes careful advantage of the gentle slopes on which it is built, is thought to be unique in South America. Red cherry and strawberry shine through on this youthful palate with soft tannins and a round finish of nutmeg and cloves

Dona Paula Los Cardos Red Blend

40% Malbec, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Syrah and 3% Tannat
Intense red color with some ruby hues. Very expressive in the nose, with highlighting red fruit aromas and spicy notes. In the mouth, a fresh and complex wine. The clay loam soil of Ugarteche helps to generate its smooth- textured tannins. A good balance is achieved with what each variety contributes to the blend. El Alto Vineyard is located in Ugarteche, in the southern part of Luján de Cuyo, at 1,050 meters (3,445 feet) above sea level. The soils range from sandy loam to clay loam, with variable content of stone. The climate typically presents warm days and cool nights, with an average temperature variation of 14 °C (57.2 °F) and an average annual rainfall of 250 mm (9.8 in). The vines yield 12 tons per hectare, and they are grown in espaliers, using drip irrigation. At Doña Paula, our vineyards have always been managed using sustainable agricultural practices.
